Our recent survey of 400+ cloud and hosting providers reveals that the majority of respondents see stronger demand for traditional hosting as opposed to the cloud or application services.
- The US did not follow this trend with just 16% of customer demand coming from traditional hosting
- Demand for cloud in this market was equal when compared to the European average
These findings make it clear that European enterprises are not yet at the level of cloud adoption that might have been expected a year or so ago.
One explanation for this could be that enterprise IT buyers are still confused about how to migrate to the cloud. As the trusted supplier, hosting and cloud providers need to play an important role in consulting on cloud migration.
