Dublin – 31 July 2012 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that Magnet has extended its relationship with Interxion by expanding both its footprint and capacity at Interxion’s two Dublin data centres.  This expansion will help Magnet meet continued demand for its cloud based telephony services and increasing government contracts.  It will also provide a flexible and secure infrastructure to further develop their business. Magnet already has an extensive network with Interxion, which has expanded over the last four years of the partnership.

The Magnet environment hosted within Interxion’s two data centres in Dublin incorporate core routing technology supporting Magnet’s Government, Enterprise and residential customers. With its cloud based telephony services seeing substantial growth in the past 24 months, and an increase in government contracts, this key location enables Magnet to provide the robust services that its customers require.

As one of only four providers of fixed line telephony solutions to the Irish government, Magnet has seen a dramatic rise in the amount of connections to Government agencies. This has resulted in Magnet recently adding additional connections to support Government resilient connections for data and telephony solutions.

“We have grown with Interxion because they provide the highest level of availability, scalability and connectivity we need to guarantee the best possible service to our customers,” said Joe Lavin, Head of Marketing & Product Management, Magnet Networks. “Our experience with Interxion over the past four years has confirmed its level of expertise, professionalism and responsiveness, making every effort to meet and surpass the challenges and expectations associated with providing superior quality service to our customers. Also, the low latency, response time sensitivity of voice communications requires our infrastructure to be located in a high connectivity DC location like Interxion.”

Interxion’s Dublin data centres provide Magnet with opportunities to flexibly scale their business, as it provides direct connectivity to over 25 carriers and Internet Service Providers.  From an operational perspective, the Interxion Dublin hub also offers the highest levels of security, uninterruptible power supply, cooling, fire detection and prevention and operational support to guarantee 24/7 availability of Magnet services.

“We are extremely pleased that Magnet has further expanded in our data centres in Dublin, adding to our growing Cloud Community,” said Tanya Duncan, Managing Director, Interxion Ireland.  “Our many growing relationships with customers, continues to prove Interxion as a location of choice.  It also demonstrates that we have an excellent track record of working with the most demanding service providers, each of whom require premium data centre services as well as access to our extensive and growing carrier community.”
