LONDON - 14 August 2012 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, has announced that Sinara Consultants, a leading software house to the financial marketplace, has relocated its hosted Market Data Platform to Interxion’s London data centre campus. Sinara has also moved many of its own development systems and test beds into Interxion’s London site.
Sinara provides market data solutions that work with data feeds from exchanges such as the London Metal Exchange and the London Stock Exchange. The Sinara Market Data Platform is a fully-integrated and flexible system for handling a wide range of market data sources. The presence of a large number of leading financial exchanges’ matching engines and access points at Interxion’s City of London data centre campus, and Interxion’s ability to offer direct cross-connects to market data providers, allows Sinara to easily connect with their existing and potential customers.
Sinara Director Phil Bain comments: “We required a colocation provider that offered the connectivity and reliability to allow us to operate critically important hosted solutions for our clients. We had outgrown our incumbent supplier, so we turned to Interxion due to its first-class reputation within the financial services community for quality of service and reliability. Interxion’s data centre campus is also home to an extensive electronic trading community of potential customers and partners, and the ability to benefit from direct cross-connects to those organisations was a significant factor in our decision to select Interxion.”
Greg McCulloch, UK Managing Director at Interxion, added: “Sinara’s decision to deliver their services from our City of London data centre campus is not only a validation of the benefits of our Financial Hub, but also increases the value Interxion can offer to its financial community. With a community of more than 200 financial services institutions, in our London data centre, as well as more than 15 liquidity venues and all the major market data vendors, Interxion has rapidly become the logical choice of colocation provider for software vendors delivering solutions to the financial services market.”
Interxion hosts a range of access points to leading exchanges, including NYSE Euronext, London Metal Exchange, Bolsa de Madrid, BATS Chi-X Europe and SIX Swiss Exchange as well as the matching engines of Equiduct, Quote MTF, Burgundy and the Nordic Derivatives Exchanges. In addition, Interxion offers access to Deutsche Börse Group’s trading systems through a shared market access solution.
