Extended network increases connectivity options for Interxion’s growing customer base

Dublin, November 29 2012Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centres, today announced that ESB Telecoms Ltd (ESBT) has extended its network with Interxion to include a point of presence in Interxion’s second data centre, DUB 2.  ESBT has had a point of presence with Interxion in datacentre DUB 1 since 2006.

ESB Telecoms network within Interxion’s two data centres in Dublin incorporates WDM (Wavelength-division multiplexing), SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) compliant technology supporting a number of Interxion customers, and providing further connectivity and diversity options to Interxion clients. With the ESBT’s managed services seeing substantial growth in the past five years this key location enables them to provide the robust resilient services that its’ customers require. The expansion of the ESB Telecoms network provides more choice for Interxion’s clients by increasing the portfolio of connectivity options available to customers.

ESB Telecoms provides a range of wholesale packet and TDM (Time-division multiplexing) services to other carriers, service providers and mobile network operators.
