Session reveals how cloud providers can extend their coverage and create high quality of service in a hybrid environment
NEW YORK – June 12, 2013: INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading European provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral colocation data center services, will present on how cloud providers can connect clouds, improve SLA control and offer hybrid cloud solutions at the 2013 Cloud Computing Expo East, June 10-14 in New York City at the Javits Convention Center.
Jelle Frank van der Zwet, Interxion’s Cloud Segment Marketing Manager, will lead the session, “Clouds Unchained - How Enterprises Will Seek a Better Network to the Cloud” on Wednesday, June 12 at 2:10 p.m. During the session, he will draw from market insight and multiple use cases to explain how cloud providers can seamlessly connect organizations’ private infrastructure to the public cloud through Interxion’s connectivity to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
Interxion’s partnership with AWS Direct Connect allows customers to establish private connection between the AWS platform in the cloud and their existing dedicated IT infrastructure, which can reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. Now, via connectivity provided by Interxion partner Level 3, Interxion offers AWS Direct Connect from its 34 data centers across 11 European countries to guarantee consistent SLA and network performance for an optimal hybrid cloud environment.
“Because the Internet has no SLA, many organizations are expressing growing concern at the idea of a cloud environment that is dependent on the Internet’s fluctuating performance and reliability,” said Jelle Frank van der Zwet, Segment Marketing Manager, Cloud, Interxion. “Yet, with enterprises
increasingly integrating public cloud applications with legacy solutions, the future of the cloud is hybrid. To make these different cloud environments work together, cloud service providers must be able to extend their coverage and will do so through solutions like Direct Connect.”
