LONDON – 26 September 2016 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Global Telecoms Awards 2016 in the Cloud Innovation category. The award nomination is in recognition of the company’s recent expansion of its Interxion Cloud Connect platform across four of its facilities in major European cities.
Now in their fourth year, the Global Telecoms Awards is an important event, recognising innovation and excellence in the global telecoms industry. The awards bring together the most successful and innovative companies with the most senior and influential executives for the ultimate celebration of the communications industry.
The Interxion Cloud Connect platform is a secure, private, reliable and cost effective way for organisations to manage business applications in the cloud without sacrificing performance. Selecting the right data centre for an organisation’s IT infrastructure becomes even more important when building and managing reliable hybrid IT solutions for response time sensitive applications. Cloud Connect solves this challenge by enabling private links to one or more cloud providers through a single, secure connection. The expansion enables more of Interxion’s customers to accommodate this shift to the cloud as quickly and efficiently as possible, while still managing their concerns.
Director Strategy and Business Development, Connectivity, Caroline Puygrenier, comments on the nomination: “We are proud that our cloud innovations have been recognised by the Global Telecoms Awards”. Puygrenier adds: “Through the Interxion Cloud Connect platform we provide enterprises, service providers, systems integrators and carriers with a simple and secure way to make high performance connections to multiple clouds from within our data centres, allowing them to shift business critical workloads and real-time data to the cloud with ease.”
The winners of the Global Telecoms Awards 2016 will be announced on 3rd November at The Tower Hotel in London.
