AMSTERDAM – 27 October 2016 INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe, announced today that it has been selected by Rubicon Project (NYSE: RUBI), which operates one of the largest advertising marketplaces in the world, as its data centre provider for the European market.

Rubicon Project first chose Interxion’s Frankfurt facility in 2014 to provide a second platform for disaster recovery in Europe to ensure redundancy for its European clients. The success of this initial partnership, particularly Interxion’s ability to understand their unique business needs, has driven Rubicon Project’s decision to migrate its entire European production infrastructure to Interxion’s Amsterdam data centre campus.

With this new partnership, Interxion will host Rubicon Project’s Advertising Automation Cloud, which brings brands, content creators and application developers closer together to buy, sell, and trade via Rubicon Project’s robust advertising technology. As one of the largest cloud and big data computing systems in the world, the Rubicon Project platform leverages over 50,000 algorithms and analyses billions of data points in real time, serving approximately 1 billion customers globally, 12 trillion bid requests per month and 300 data-driven decisions per transaction in milliseconds.

“Having worked with Rubicon Project since 2014, we are very familiar with the challenges facing the entire advertising sector in Europe, and over the course of our existing partnership, we’ve been impressed by Rubicon Project’s continuous innovation, pace of change and their tremendous commitment to their customers,” said Bryan Hill, Director of Marketing & Business Development, Digital Media, Interxion. “As the sole data centre provider hosting Rubicon Project’s European infrastructure, along with continuing to be a colocation provider for its disaster recovery efforts, we are able to help Rubicon Project in its ongoing quest to be the premier advertising marketplace for buyers and sellers across Europe.”

Interxion has proven to have a thorough understanding of Rubicon Project’s business needs, as Rubicon Project continues to enable leading brands, content creators and application developers to process trillions of advertising requests each month. With the advertising industry in Europe continuing to expand at an unprecedented rate, Interxion offers the services and capacity required for Rubicon Project’s platform to grow with its European customer base.

“Our aim is to enable a globally distributed cloud that can grow at the pace of the world’s most demanding advertising buyers and sellers,” said Rubicon Project’s CTO, Neal Richter. “Interxion has demonstrated that they can provide the agility, flexibility, connectivity, quality of service and reach that we need to meet the extensive needs of our customers across Europe.”

Interxion’s Amsterdam data centre campus functions as the perfect gateway to Europe for businesses like Rubicon Project that are looking to build out their presence, both across the continent and locally. Companies like Rubicon Project can benefit from the reliable, secure and resilient European data centre for their infrastructure, and low-latency connectivity to key European markets via a diverse community of over 45 carriers and direct access to three Internet exchanges.
