Facilities Engineer

Frankfurt am Main

Operations, 04 December 2018

Your role

You’ll join the team responsible for ensuring the cooling infrastructure in our data centre runs smoothly. Working on-call shifts, you’ll monitor our buildings and equipment and carry out maintenance, repairs and installations to minimise downtime, or oversee work by subcontractors and document the results. You’ll also provide first or second-line support in response to system alarms, ensuring that work is carried out in line with SLAs and flagging up any areas where SLAs are under pressure.

What you’ll need

With experience of data centre engineering or operations, or working in a mission-critical environment, you’ll be used to maintaining and repairing industrial cooling and/or power systems, including generators and chillers. You should have completed your education as an industrial refrigeration or power engineer and will have proven service experience, including being a certified cooling engineer. Fluent in both English and German, you’ll be a good team player, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to take on new responsibilities. Your eye for detail and the ability to write accurate reports will also be vital.
