Financial Reporting Specialist (IFRS, HGB, Compliance) (f/m/d)
Finance, 28 March 2019
Reporting to the finance manager, you’ll be coordinating and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting principles and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. This means you’ll be the person managers turn to on all reporting and compliance issues and the main contact for financial and tax auditors. Working with the finance manager, you’ll ensure books and records are kept accurate and up-to-date. You’ll also motivate your team to deliver results and ensure they’re aware of process timelines, establishing best practices to improve efficiency.
What you’ll need
- Experience of IFRS accounting rules, the German Commercial Code (HGB) and SOX or similar rules.
- Well-organised, with a structured, analytical approach to your work.
- A graduate, preferably in accounting or auditing.
- A working knowledge of MS-Excel.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and balance different projects in a fast-paced organisation.
- Fluent in both English and German.
- Experience of working in a progressive accounting environment – ideally audit in a Big 4 firm.
