Group Transition Manager
Project Management, 08 January 2019
In this new role, you’ll be leading and overseeing our Service Transition team of Project Managers to ensure all our implementations are carried out effectively to meet customer needs. This involves ensuring resources and skills are managed effectively across the full lifecycle of all major projects and implementations and being the main customer contact as required to resolve any issues. Reporting directly to the Group Service Delivery Manager, you’ll provide strong leadership to our transition teams across Europe. At a strategic level, you’ll also define and implement a group-wide project transition and implementation structure, including advising on best practice project methodology and delivery, to ensure consistent quality across the group.
What you’ll need
You’ll be a highly experienced project or programme manager with an in-depth understanding of the full project lifecycle and a background in looking at governance and setting standards. A strong people manager, with the ability to work within defined KPIs and strategic objectives, you’ll have an understanding of European cultures and experience of working with international customers. Naturally, you’ll be an articulate communicator and a proven problem-solver, with the ability to gain the respect of senior managers and technical experts alike. You’ll also be a graduate, ideally with an ITIL service transition and project management qualifications and the resilience to work proactively in a high-pressure data centre environment.
Service Delivery and Management at Interxion
Our customers range from global network and cloud service providers to major banks and games companies, regional organisations and local businesses. We work with them all to create, implement and maintain the vital data centre services they need. This involves designing the service, then translating these designs into a live data centre environment and working closely with the customer to make sure we’re meeting their needs. This means our people combine service design and delivery, project management and customer relationship building skills to continually deliver and improve the service we give to our customers, as Interxion continues to bring new data centres online.
