Service Operations Engineer

As part of the Operations department, you’ll provide 24/7 service support for our data centre customers and infrastructure to meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
As part of the Operations department, you’ll provide 24/7 service support for our data centre customers and infrastructure to meet agreed Service Level Agreements. This includes installing new customer equipment and cabling and responding to alarms and technical requests. You’ll also monitor and maintain buildings, equipment and infrastructure to optimise performance, developing reports and technical documentation and ensuring they’re kept up-to-date. As a key member of the team, you’ll also enjoy the opportunity to contribute to decision-making and planning in the department.
What you’ll need
You’ll need proven engineering or operations experience gained in a data centre or similar mission-critical environment, with an electrical or mechanical technical qualification such as FPII electricidad / Mecánica. With a background in maintaining and repairing industrial electrical and cooling systems, you’ll have strong problem solving skills, an eye for detail and a can-do attitude. Your ability to meet client needs in a fast-paced data centre will also be vital. You’ll also be a confident communicator, fluent in English up to at least B2 level.

In Facilities Management we play a key role, ensuring everything in our data centres operates as it should for our customers, from electrical power, to cooling and fire suppression systems. It’s about understanding the importance of our data centre infrastructure and working closely with other teams across the business to maintain it effectively. This means you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, with plenty of opportunities to develop your technical skills further as we continue to bring new data centres online across Europe.
