We are proud to share that Interxion, A Digital Realty Company, placed at the top of Cloudscene’s Data Centre Ecosystem Leaderboard in H1 2020.
Besides securing the #1 ranking for the EMEA region, through Interxion, Digital Realty also climbed to #2 in North America and placed within the top 10 in Asia.
Cloudscene is the leading market intelligence provider and independent global marketplace for network, cloud and colocation services. Their bi-annual leaderboard ranks data centre operators across North America, EMEA, Asia and Oceania on several key factors:
- The density of their facilities within the region
- The total number of service providers within those facilities
- The total number of network fabrics within those facilities
- The total number of cloud on-ramps within those facilities.
We believe that Interxion scored high marks in each of these areas in Europe for several reasons.
For one, the recent combination of Interxion and Digital Realty means that, as a single unit in EMEA, we enjoy significant global reach and a high density of carrier and cloud network nodes in multiple markets. As an example, our recent EMEA expansions increased the number of colocation hubs across our network, enabling businesses to meet their global connectivity needs with a single data centre provider.
Secondly, Interxion has consistently invested in the growth of connected communities in EMEA to support enterprises as they expand their global digital footprint.
We know that businesses will continue to face connectivity challenges on this journey. By 2022, IT leaders expect to serve up to 20 more locations than they do today, and IDC predicts over 41.6 billion connected devices will be in use by 2025.
As a result, enterprises must support many more global consumers who are using far more devices, across an increasing number of regions. Each one of those customers will expect an excellent digital experience, and if enterprises fall short, it could mean lost consumer trust and revenue.
That’s why Interxion continues to make strategic investment decisions to bolster our support for enterprises. We’ve added more locations and technology to yield stronger connections, including the recent acquisition of land in Paris and Frankfurt, as well as the expansion of a London campus.
At the same time, we continue to seek partnerships that solve highly specific technology challenges. For example, our recent collaboration with Scan Business UK and NVIDIA is an effort to offer the infrastructure enterprises need to explore AI-based solutions. We are always looking for ways to answer the call for customers who need infrastructure support as they push the boundaries of their technology and service offerings.
The best digital transformation strategies are built on a bedrock of high-performance infrastructure and consistent access to top connectivity services. We’re thrilled to be recognized as Europe’s leading partner to enterprises who are on this path.
