Exploring the Nordics’ New Gateways

In the coming months Aqua Comms will bring into service the first new Subsea cable connecting Denmark to the U.S. in nearly two decades! This will complement Aqua Comms’ existing transatlantic cables and deliver on its vision of creating a “North Atlantic Loop”, a resilient dual-path network across the Atlantic. Meanwhile, other new subsea cable projects are being finalized in other parts of the Nordics.

What impact will the new subsea cable systems planned in the Nordics have on the region’s interconnection landscape?

This is the theme for this exciting seminar, where we have invited the relevant subsea cable operators and leading connectivity experts to share their knowledge and present their outlook for the development in the Nordics.

After a few short presentations, we will have a panel discussion with leading connectivity providers and an OTT supplier operating in Scandinavia about how the new sea cables will benefit and change the Nordic interconnection landscape.

  • Eastern Light: Fredrik Hane, Founder; provides the status of the project connecting Helsinki with Stockholm, and Eastern Light’s next projects.
  • Skagenfiber: Geir Holmer, CEO updates on the planned project to connect Norway with Denmark.
  • Celtic Norse: Erling Aronsveen, CEO, shares details of the project connecting Ireland with Norway.
  • Tampnet: Cato Lammenes, Managing Director, presents their plans for new links connecting Scotland with Norway and Germany with Sweden
